What I'm Watching

Just finished watching the series “The Batman” and enjoyed it.

Just rewatched “The Thing” and it was just as great as I remembered it to be.

I watched the “The Gentlemen” and it was a fun film.

Went to the theatre for the first time in a while and watched “No Time To Die” the latest, James Bond flick and really enjoyed it.

What I'm Listening To

‘The Who’ is always on my playlist. The greatest band ever.

Currently listening to my ‘Top Songs of 2021’ Spotify playlist.

I’ve been jogging to my “Nightwish” playlist.

People Of Interest

Authors who made a big impression on me.

Alistair MacLean who got me interested in reading to begin with.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle whose character Sherlock Holmes has no match, and whose book “The Hound of the Baskervilles” was my first horror.

James Herbert whose book “The Rats” was my first modern horror novel that I read.

Stephen King who got me interested in the horror genre and who got me thinking in terms of “what if?”

Robert B. Parker whose writing style and gift with dialogue shaped my own writing style more than any other writer.

Joe R. Lansdale who showed me the possibilities of our craft.

Random Thoughts

If I could go back in time, I’d make sure George Romero got his distributor to put a copyright on his film, “Night of the Living Dead.”
